aurii does not connect to My Health Record. A practice that contributes documents to the national record keeps doing that from the clinical software it already uses.

That path does not touch My Health Record. aurii contributes no documents to the national record and reads none from it.
Uploading to the national record
Documents reach My Health Record from software that has been through conformance assessment with the Australian Digital Health Agency and registered against it. aurii has not been through that process.
A practice keeps that software and that registration whether or not it uses aurii, and any upload obligation it carries is met there.
Patient controls on the national record
A patient can restrict access to their My Health Record, set a code on individual documents, remove documents, and cancel the record.
Those controls govern the national record. They do not reach the note in the practice's own system or the copy held in aurii.
Where the note is held
A signed note is stored in aurii and delivered to the recipients the clinician selects.
