Deletion covers the aurii app and the web app at app.aurii.com.au, both operated by Aurii Pty Ltd, and runs whether or not the app is still installed. In effect as at 6 September 2026. Privacy policy.
Deletion request
Email hello@aurii.com.au from the address the account is registered under.
In the app the same request runs from Settings, then Security, then Delete account. It asks for your account email and your current password, and closes the account in that step.
An emailed request that does not come from the registered address is not actioned. aurii confirms the request with you before acting on it.
What is deleted
The account closes as soon as the request is verified.
- Sign-in and multi-factor
- The password, passkeys, authenticator enrolment, backup codes, trusted devices and every active session are revoked in the same step.
- Profile
- Name, work email, specialty, provider details, device registrations, notification tokens and app preferences are removed from live systems within 30 days.
- Backups
- Encrypted database backups are held for 35 days. Consult audio sits outside the database and carries its own purge date.
- Data export
- Ask for a copy of your data in the request. aurii cannot produce one once the account is closed.
What is retained
aurii holds clinical records for the practice or hospital that uses it, and Australian health-record law does not allow those to be erased on request. The retention obligation sits with the practice, and aurii runs no job that deletes records once it expires.
- Clinical records
- Notes, letters and discharge summaries you signed stay part of the patient record, kept for seven years from the last entry for an adult, and for a person under 18, until that person turns 25.
- Audit trail
- The audit log is append-only and cannot be selectively erased. The application database role holds no UPDATE or DELETE on it.
- Consult audio
- Session audio carries its own purge date, 30 days after the session by default. A daily sweep deletes the recording and clears the reference to it.
Every action a practice user takes is written to a hash-chained audit log. How the chain works.
Hosting and backups are in Australian regions. Where the data sits.
Purging a workspace
Deleting a user account does not delete the workspace it belonged to. A purge runs in four steps.
- The workspace is archived. A purge cannot be scheduled against a workspace in any other state.
- The purge is scheduled. That writes the operator's intent to the audit chain and starts a seven-day grace period.
- After the grace period the platform operator runs the hard delete from a gated command line. There is no automatic purge.
- The tenant row survives as an audit tombstone, so the chain over that workspace can still be verified.
Accounts provisioned by an organisation
If a hospital or practice created your account, that organisation holds the agreement and controls the workspace and its records. Deleting your account ends your access and closes your memberships. Archiving or purging the workspace has to be requested by the organisation.
Self-deletion is refused while you are the only active owner of a workspace that still has other active members. Transfer ownership first.
Accounts with no organisation agreement
If you signed up on the trial and no other person holds an active membership, closing your account ends the workspace with it. Records you signed stay under the retention rules until the workspace is archived and purged.
Subscription and account
Cancelling a subscription and deleting an account are separate actions. An owner or admin cancels billing through the billing portal in the app. Deleting an account does not cancel the subscription, and cancelling the subscription does not delete the account or its records.
Patient requests
aurii holds patient information for the specialists and hospitals who use it. A patient who wants information corrected or deleted should contact the treating clinician or hospital, which controls the record. hello@aurii.com.au can direct the request.
