Medical Objects and HL7 v2
Signed letters leave as HL7 v2 messages over the Medical Objects network. The acknowledgement is recorded against the letter.
Current integrations
A signed letter goes to the GP's practice software over Medical Objects (HL7 v2 over mTLS), and the acknowledgement comes back to the letter in aurii.
Nothing leaves aurii until a clinician signs it. aurii refuses dispatch to a recipient that is not routable on the Medical Objects network. Each letter reads sent, delivered or acknowledged, and a failed letter can be signed off again for resend.
Where letters can land
Best Practice, MedicalDirector, Genie, Zedmed and Gentu receive aurii letters as destinations on the Medical Objects network.
Your practice sends under its own Medical Objects identity, and delivery is proven end to end before your first real letter goes out.
We set Medical Objects up for your practice at no charge. Email hello@aurii.com.au or use Request setup in the app.
If your practice already receives over Medical Objects but has no sending licence, that licence is Medical Objects' own annual charge, A$620 + GST, passed through to you at cost with no aurii markup.
Medical Objects integration statusWhat comes back
- Delivery acknowledgements over HL7Inbound HL7 messages land in a read-only message log. Nothing from that log is written into a patient record.
- Pathology and imaging results, by uploadUpload a pathology or imaging report, confirm the extracted values, and they land on the patient's timeline.
Medical Objects is the secure-messaging network aurii delivers on.
A letter to a recipient who is not on the Medical Objects network can be sent by email from no-reply@aurii.com.au, through aurii's Microsoft 365 tenant. Email is not a secure-messaging channel. The clinician chooses it per recipient.
Billing
aurii drafts the billing items from each review for your practice to confirm. Your practice claims them in its own software as it does now. Native billing in the app is coming.
